2nd,3rd and 4th October
ISLA Festival 2015
29th September to 8th October
ISLA Expanded
ISLA Literary Festival returns this October with a programme packed with activities. The theme of memory is the background for a series of conversations, literary gatherings, film screenings, workshops and Festival literary strolls. We will have the opportunity to delve into the complexities, mysteries and whims of our mind. We will discuss how memories are constructed or why we forget and how these themes are always present in Literature, History, Cinema, Science and Art.

ISLA: 2nd, 3rd and 4th October (Instituto Cervantes Dublín)
You will learn about twenty authors from Spain, Latin America and Ireland. Enjoy nine interesting gatherings and have the opportunity to purchase some of the publications by these authors or, if you wish, have a snack surrounded by good written and visual stories.

ISLA expanded: 29th September to 8th October (various locations)
Our desire to celebrate our languages and cultures has brought about new activities this year. We will learn about the interesting Irish-Latin connections in cinema thanks to the IFI and walk around Dublin city centre in search of architectural, literary, historic or scientific traces and oddities (in Spanish and English).

Thanks to the Irish Writers Centre, literature lovers will be able to immerse themselves in the complexities of text production and translations with the authors Carlos Gamerro (Argentina) and Lucía Guerra (Chile).

We also invite you to participate in the construction of the memory wall to generate debate, dissemination and conservation of the collective and personal memory.
